اليونسكو تجمع صانعات المحتوى الرقمي في السليمانية لتعزيز حرية التعبير والسلام في الفضاء الرقمي

السليمانية، العراق – عقدت منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة (اليونسكو)، في إطار مشروع التواصل الاجتماعي من أجل السلام الممول من الاتحاد الأوروبي، ورشة عمل تخصصية مكثفة جمعت نخبة من صانعات المحتوى الرقمي والصحفيات من مختلف مناطق إقليم كردستان العراق.

هدفت الورشة إلى تمكين المشاركات من تطوير إطار مفاهيمي مشترك يستند إلى المعايير الدولية، مع التركيز على حرية التعبير، الحق في الوصول إلى المعلومات، ومكافحة الانتهاكات الرقمية الموجهة ضد النساء . وشملت الجلسات محاور رئيسية حول مكافحة خطاب الكراهية، تعزيز حرية الرأي، حماية النساء من العنف الرقمي، إلى جانب استعراض سياسات تعديل المحتوى من قبل منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، والتحديات المرتبطة بالتحيز الخوارزمي وأثره المباشر على صناعة المحتوى.

كما ناقشت الورشة الدوافع الكامنة وراء صناعة المحتوى الرقمي في العراق، وتطرقت إلى الأطر القانونية والتشريعية المحلية، مع التأكيد على الحاجة إلى إيجاد تشريعات حديثة تراعي المعايير الدولية، بما يضمن فضاءً رقمياً أكثر أماناً وإنصافاً.

الورشة لم تقتصر على الجانب النظري، بل تضمنت جلسات عملية تفاعلية عبر مجاميع عمل تناولت التحديات والفرص والواقع الذي تعيشه صانعات المحتوى، مما أسهم في صياغة مقترحات عملية وحلول مبتكرة. كما أجابت المشاركات على استبيان خاص أعدته اليونسكو لقياس احتياجاتهن وتصوراتهن المستقبلية.

المتدربة فان قيس، صانعة المحتوى، وصفت الورشة بأنها محطة فارقة في مسيرتها المهنية قائلة: “لقد منحتني الورشة الثقة لأواجه خطاب الكراهية وأدافع عن حقي في التعبير، وأشعر أنني اليوم أكثر قدرة على التأثير الإيجابي عبر منصاتي الرقمية.”

أما المتدربة رانيا شهرباني فأكدت على قيمة النقاشات الجماعية بقولها: “النقاشات ساعدتنا على فهم واقعنا المشترك وصياغة حلول عملية تناسب بيئتنا، لقد أدركت أن صوتنا الجماعي أقوى وأكثر تأثيراً.”

واختتمت اليونسكو بالتأكيد على أن إشراك النساء في الإعلام الرقمي يشكل ركيزة أساسية لبناء مجتمعات أكثر شمولية وعدلاً، وأن تعزيز أصوات صانعات المحتوى الرقمي في العراق جزء لا يتجزأ من مسار دعم الديمقراطية والسلام

UNESCO spearheads workshop for women digital content creators in Sulaymaniyah to promote freedom of expression and peace online

Sulaymaniyah, Iraq – As part of the Social Media for Peace project funded by the European Union, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) organized an intensive specialized workshop that brought together leading women digital content creators and journalists from across the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The workshop aimed to empower participants by developing a shared conceptual framework grounded in international standards, focusing on freedom of expression, the right to access information, and safeguarding the digital space from violations. Sessions addressed crucial themes including countering hate speech, protecting women from online violence, and enhancing women’s voices in media. They also examined digital content moderation policies applied by social media platforms, the challenges posed by algorithmic bias and its impact on content creation, as well as the underlying drivers of digital content production in Iraq.

Participants engaged in dynamic group discussions and practical exercises that identified challenges, explored opportunities, and reflected on the lived realities of content creators in the region. The workshop also reviewed existing local legal and regulatory frameworks, highlighting the urgent need for modern legislation aligned with international standards to ensure a safer and more equitable digital space.

Trainee Van Qais, a content creator, described the workshop as a turning point in her professional journey, stating: “The workshop gave me the confidence to confront hate speech and defend my right to expression. I now feel more capable of creating positive impact through my digital platforms.”

Meanwhile, trainee Rania Shahrbani emphasized the value of group discussions, saying: “The discussions helped us understand our shared reality and develop practical solutions tailored to our context. I realized that our collective voice is stronger and more influential.”

UNESCO reaffirmed that engaging women in digital media is fundamental to building more inclusive and just societies, stressing that amplifying the voices of women digital creators in Iraq is an integral part of promoting democracy and sustaining peace.
